ESIA Submission - VEU Compliance and Code of Conduct Consultation, 18 Nov 2021
Key themes suggested by the ESIA: VEU support for four key elements needing attention: 1) lead generation 2) installation 3) proactive surveillance (audit), and 4) enforcement – with a need for penalties to suit the breach of the relevant party: lead generators, installers and/or certificate creators.
The ESIA recommends a register of ‘accredited participants’ required for all parties mentioned above. This could be managed with some basic standardisation of information provision required, for example, in the Nomination Form and with the information to be refreshed periodically.
The Code broadly aligns with the ESIA Code and would not require any transition time for ESIA members.
