ESIA Thanks Lily D’Ambrosio for Her Leadership on Energy and Climate Action

The Energy Savings Industry Association (ESIA) today acknowledged the resignation of Minister Lily D’Ambrosio and thanked her for her significant contribution to Victoria’s energy, climate and consumer policy agenda.

ESIA President Ric Brazzale said Minister D’Ambrosio had been instrumental in delivering policies that established Victoria as a national leader in energy efficiency, electrification and climate action.

“Lily D’Ambrosio has been a strong advocate for practical climate action and her ambition has helped drive Victoria to the forefront of Australia’s clean energy transition,” Mr Brazzale said.

“She played a key role in the development and continued success of the Victorian Energy Upgrades (VEU) program, which has delivered lower energy costs and emissions for Victorian households and businesses.

“30 per cent of Victorian households have embraced rooftop solar, providing a strong foundation for electrification and consumer-led energy transformation that will also reduce energy bills.

“With strong solar adoption and growing interest in efficient electric technologies, Victoria is ideally placed to capture the economic, environmental and energy bill benefits of electrification.”

Mr Brazzale said ESIA looked forward to working closely with the incoming Minister to support the next phase of the Victorian Energy Upgrades program and continue delivering benefits for Victorian consumers and businesses.
